My name is Jutta Wilhelm, my artist name is Jutta Guglielmi.
I have a Masters degree in design and have worked in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South-America. Presently I am living and working in Italy. I live in a house which is part of the Borgo “Casabianca”.
The strong influence of other peoples and their culture while living with them is reflected and expressed in my work. Africa plays the strongest role since I spent 23 years in different parts of this great continent and which I frequently visit to continue my work. I am also becoming more and more involved in trying to alleviate the existential challenges like AIDS which afflicted nations like Kenya are facing and suffering. Part of the profits of sales go to sustain AIDS-orphans, the people working with me. There is a skin-transplantation hospital in Moshe, North-Tanzania, for which I intend to directly buy and deliver necessary equipment and tools. This side of my work in Kenya is voluntary and I can only hope that through sales we can have enough surplus money to really have and impact on the always more deteriorating situation the average poor Kenyan, African is facing.
